Introduction
Abundance Mentality – In our society, feelings of envy and resentment are more and more frequent. My feeling is that it is a structural phenomenon. There are many areas where selection is made, and competition is encouraged. People grow up that way from a young age into their teens. These structures ensure that people always try to be or have more than others. I see that as an alarming development because solidarity in society is declining more and more.
So when I realize that I am jealous of someone, I try to be happy because of her happiness. It helps me to know that there is enough for everyone. Because I live with an abundance mentality. A lack of mentality creates a climate of fear and mistrust. An abundance mentality creates a climate of trust and solidarity.
Important: Abundance does not mean you can waste resources. It is not about thoughtlessness and waste.
How To Create An Abundance Mindset?
Society seems to be built on an insufficiency mindset. It’s a mentality that describes people that there is a lack in life, that there are few options. Of course, this is useful for sellers and advertisers because if people think there’s a shortage, it can make them buy things; Therefore, the economy and society can continue to grow and prosper by fostering a scarcity mentality in people.
The scarcity mentality can be very painful for the specific and create a lot of unnecessary fear, anxiety, and despair. On the other hand, an abundance mindset tells you there are always new opportunities and possibilities. This removes a lot of the pressure you might feel if you can have an insufficient mentality that makes you think you only have one chance right now. Or you feel like a failure just because you stumbled and didn’t make it. An abundance mindset can help you improve your performance as it creates much less pressure and anxiety in your head.
Focus On The Abundance, Not The Lack.
Abundance Mentality – What you focus on, you see in the world. Because you can’t even take in all around you, your reticular activation system, the focus system in your brain, focuses on where you direct your thoughts. This allows you to realize the abundance in your world that you may currently be lacking. For example, if you are short of money, don’t focus on that shortfall. Instead, focus on the abundance of opportunities in the world to make money. Soon, money-making ideas and opportunities will “appear” in your world. It’s almost a bit scary how things that hold solutions for you, maybe books or shopping that have been in the background for a while, suddenly come into focus one day.
Learn To Appreciate Things. – Abundance Mentality
A quick way to break the regular habit of thinking about things you don’t have is simply appreciating things. Appreciate your food, your life, your roof, your friends, your family, etc. This can turn a bad mood into a more positive one in minutes, but it can also help you spot missed or forgotten opportunities. And it gives you a slightly more open environment that makes it easier to focus on abundance. So get used to appreciating a few minutes a day.
Examine Your Abundance Mentality
Limiting beliefs are insensible beliefs we hold for ourselves and the world that keeps us from living life to the complete end. So, for example, if you have an insensible belief that you don’t deserve happiness, even under the best circumstances, knowing how to express gratitude will not be easy.
As you embrace the process of cultivating gratitude in your life, consider the limiting beliefs you hold subconsciously and examine how they prevent you from realizing your full potential. Then, when you start the hard work of replacing your limiting beliefs with an abundance mindset, you will see how your beliefs affect almost every area of life. This is because our beliefs develop from a combination of life experiences: our knowledge base, our environment (past and present), positive and traumatic life events, the outcomes of our past actions, and how we imagine our future.
